Graaff-Reinet is a town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It is the oldest town in the province. It is also the sixth-oldest town in South Africa, after Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Simon's Town, Paarl and Swellendam. The town was the centre of a short-lived republic in the late 18th century.

Named after the then Prime Minister of Natal, Sir Albert Henry Hime in 1902, Himeville is a small town nestled at the foot of the southern Drakensberg.  With its high altitude and breathtaking views, Himeville is largely under-rated as a tourist destination.  Approximately 130km from Pietermaritzburg and en-route to Sani Pass Himeville is a beautiful stopover.  With its abundance of water Himeville is a water sport, as well as fly fishing attraction, and makes for a quieter holiday than the other busier parts of the Drakensberg.
